This is a 12 hour tour. Kevin our guide was absolutely fantastic. That man is a walking history book, he knew about the ancient history of the cliff dwelling people, the ancient Indian history, the plants, the animals, the volcanoes, the grand canyon, the local lure, the local government, the observatory, restaurants, etc. This is best guide I have ever had and we travel quite a bit. Wow! I have never learned so much in 12 hours!
I really enjoyed my experience with Redstone and this tour. Our guide Charlie was very straight-forward and very accommodating. The schedule is tight but I felt plenty of time was left for the views. The addition of Wupatki and Sunset Crater National Monuments were a treat as well. Be forewarned: the Cameron Trading Post will likely be your dining experience. This won't detract from the quality of the experience and lunch is free...but I wasn't the biggest fan of the food. The Grand Canyon views are stunning and the tour takes the worry or hassle of parking and etc out of your brain so you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
The Grand Canyon is awe-inspiring - not something that can be explained to someone, you have to see it yourself. Definitely something for the bucket list. The Wupatki National Monument was extremely interesting and worth experiencing. The tour guide, Kevin, was well informed, knowledgeable and entertaining.
