After departing the Phoenix metro area, our tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.

Williams will be our first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion.

Route 66

Parc national du Grand Canyon

The helicopter ride left us speechless, the views were so beautiful. Our friendly guide Mathew made up for our lost words, with lots of interesting information. A trip of a lifetime!

My husband and I had just a short time in Scottsdale and had never seen the Grand Canyon. Our driver Jen was terrific she was very knowledgeable about the area and great to talk too. The helicopter tour was amazing so if you e got the extra dollars I recommend adding it on. The views were spectacular and having someone who knew the area Drive was fantastic. Both of us could enjoy the scenery and even nap a little when we were tired without stress. Oh the buses were comfortable and lunch was delicious. Thanks Jen for a great time and safe trip.

We had a memorable day, visiting Route 66 and the Grand Canyon National Park. In between we took an helicopter ride over the South and North Rim of the Grand Canyon Spectacular view an experience. Jonathan our driver is a knowledgeable person about the areas we visited and made that trip a fun day We really recommend Detours and that day trip to the South Rim with Jonathan
