Experience amazing bird's-eye views as you head south through the Dragon Corridor, which is the widest and deepest part of the Grand Canyon. You will also have time to explore the rim of the canyon by foot, capturing incredible photographs of the Grand Canyon.

  • The maximum weight limit per person is 300 pounds. Guests over the weight limit (300+ lbs) will be required to purchase 2 seats. This is payable direct to the tour operator prior to the tour date.
  • Arizona state law requires children under 8 years to have either a child seat or booster. Child seats are not provided, please bring your own and notify supplier
  • Minimum age is 3 years and guest must inform supplier they will provide car seats or boosters.
  • Wheelchairs and walkers are acceptable as long as they fold up and can be slid into the vehicle without assistance from tour guide. The helicopter cannot accommodate wheelchairs or walkers. You must let the supplier know if you are bringing either.
  • We do not guarantee pickup for all hotels. Even if your hotel is on the list, there may be a chance you'll need to meet at an alternate location. Any guest staying outside of Phoenix, Scottsdale or Tempe will be required to meet at an alternate location to be determined by supplier. Tour supplier contact details will be provided on your pre-paid voucher.
  • The Grand Canyon South Rim is a 7,000 foot elevation, please note this if you have concerns about altitude.
  • There is NOT a restroom on the vehicle. Comfort stops are made throughout the day.
  • You must let the supplier know if there are any mobility concerns that they should be aware of.
  • Minimum numbers apply for the public small group tour. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
  • FOR LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS: Any tours booked after 7:00PM Arizona time the night before the tour date might not be confirmed. You will likely have to meet at another hotel for pick up. Our office will contact you prior to 6:00am on the tour date.

I had a great time on this tour. My Detour tour guide, Joe, was very friendly and kept us on schedule. Riding in the van allowed for a relaxing ride. The helicopter tour at Maverick Helicopters was so much fun. Alex, the pilot, was skilled and knowledgable about the area. He was very professional and I felt completely safe on the ride. This was a spectacular way to see the Grand Canyon.

Took the day trip from Phoenix to Grand Canyon with optional helicopter ride. I wouldn’t hesitate to take another tour with this company. They were so professional. Our guide, Mike, was and he was amazing! Easy booking, pick up from my hotel in Scottsdale, comfy small bus and lunch was included (unlimited water too). The weather was bad so our helicopter trip got cancelled (was a $300 add on- refunded by helicopter company). That was a bummer but had nothing to do with the tour company. We had a quick stop at Route 66 which was just enough time to grab a few souvenirs. Thanks again for everything. I’ll never forgot my experience with you. A++++

If you are in the PHX area, this is the trip to do. They pick you up at your hotel, drive you up whilst stopping for some photo ops & lunch. The driver (I think it was Mike or Mitch sorry =( he was very knowledgeable & fun. Then they drop you off at airport for your AMAZING flight, they are waiting for you when your return to take you to a few more scenic spots before escorting you back to your abode on a very comfortable tour bus! I took my father on this trip & he loved it, it was a once & a life time event!
