Grand Canyon National Park

This Grand Canyon tour offers some of the most stunning scenery on Earth. It’s the only tour in Las Vegas that takes you out to Hopi Point, the highest and most scenic point at Grand Canyon. We chose this trip as it gave us enough time at the canyon but also that we had an expert with us to explain it all and show us the best photo points. Tracy was the man! He talked about old Vegas as we left, explained about the hoover dam and Route 66 as we stopped at those places and was brilliant at the canyon. If you are brave enough to go near the edge he sets up some great photos. There were 4 pairs on the tour who didn’t know each other but Tracy introduces everyone to each other at the start and we had such a great time with these people. Remember to bring a jacket or sweater as it gets cooler very quickly as the sun goes down. It’s not the cheapest tour but for us it was exactly right. Would definitely recommend.

This was a long but fabulous day that culminated in a beautiful sunset at the south rim. The Grand Canyon is mesmerizing and will be forever etched in our memories. I chose Grand Adventures based on Tripadvisor reviews and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Not only is it one of the most economical tour companies but it clearly has the most incredible guides. Tracey was our guide and from beginning to the end she kept us engaged and informed not only as a group but on an individual level. She has a wealth of knowledge and experiences and is a true asset to the company. Although we had a bit of a blip with the morning pick up (no fault of Tracey’s) and the company made it right, we would have no hesitation recommending Grand Adventures to anyone.

Alfonso's energy, charisma and hard work taking pictures is what was the value added to this tour. I only feel bad I forgot to tip him after a 14 hour day. If only I had a time machine. I have been to many average tour groups before so even though it was no.1 on tripadvisor, I was sceptical and thought about going for a cheaper tour operator. However, the service was great, the van arrived on time and we got back at about 12.05 as Alfonso instructed. I liked how the trip was broken down to different sites during the day to allow for breaks and there were no nasty surprises. Even the sandwiches provided were tastier than what I bought in shops. We were lucky it was a hot day, but I would advise tourists to bring a light jacket or cover to the grand canyon as it is considerably cooler than the strip- it can even occasionally snow. I did not know this.
