A local Louisiana naturalist guides you through the historic Manchac Swamp explaining historic information and the native ecosystem. This was a lovely laid back tour of the bayou. No need to be concerned if you've never kayaked - no Rapids here...! Our tour guide was excellent and not 'condecending' or pedantic in anyway, just enthusiastic and a pleasure to be with. And the scenery can not be beat - the flora and fauna are stunning and we saw lots of critters; gators small and big, Eagles, great blue herons, snowy egrets - just a delight... I highly recommend this experience.

We had so much fun paddling through the bayou wIth our tour. So peaceful, yet just enough excitement with all the wildlife to keep it fun. We saw owls, eagles, gators, swimming spiders and even had a frog hitch a ride on the kayak. Max was great, very knowledgeable and personable. Can't beat the service. We would definitely go again.

The best part of our trip to New Orleans was the kayaking tour of the LaPlace bayous. Very friendly and knowledgeable guides. We had so much fun we actually thought about doing it twice on our trip. Unfortunately rain kept looming so we decided once was enough, we didn't want to be out there in the rain. The bayou is amazing and beautiful. If you only ever plan to visit this area one time then you must take a tour from these fine folks.
