Barry was a great guide, with many interesting facts about the areas he drove us around. He gave us plenty of opportunities to take photos and we saw many of the iconic buildings in and around San Francisco. We loved the time at the Muir Woods and lunch at Copita Tequileria y Comida was the best we had during our stay in the city. The visit to Alcatraz was a great way to end the day.

Good combination. Our guide gave us a brief history of the Bay. The Golden Gate Bridge and Muir Woods. Some history of the Earthquake and fire of 1906. Then we were on our way! We drove through the Presidio and then over the bridge. The Muir Woods is unbelievable! The hike was very easy for all. I had considered a trip to se the Sequoias but it’s still March; it’s a 2 hour drive and there is still snow on the ground. The Coastal redwoods are taller and it’s a much shorter drive! We stopped in Sausalito for lunch. Our guide gave us great info on 2200 Studios where many artists of the 70’s and 80’s recorded. Then we drove back by the Palace of Fine arts for a picture stop. Finally we were dropped off at the Ferry to Alcatraz! A wonderful day to see great sites and not too overwhelming.
