One of my favorite things to do in a new place is taking a walking tour of some kind to get a lay of the land, and this food and wine tour does not disappoint! The food was so yummy, the wine pairings were varied and delicious, and the tour guide, Arlene was wonderful! I had brought my sister to Sonoma for her birthday, and I wanted kind of a social activity which I was afraid might be a challenge in the rainy off-season. So I contacted Renée who was SO great in accommodating what I was looking for! She hooked us up with another group of 3 also celebrating a sisters birthday and they could not have been more fun!! We got a ton of Sonoma history as well as interesting info about the local food and amazing wine we were tasting. Outside of the tastings, Arlene gave us suggestions and tips about other shops and restaurants on the square which we used for the rest of our trip. By the end of the tour, we all felt like long-time friends and even after Arlene left, the rest of us headed back to one of the restaurants for drinks till Sonoma closed down!
