All was good except for one thing that was surprisingly just terrible. We took the 3 tours they offer via the shuttles that take people around the sprawling campus. On these shuttle trams a narrator describes the buildings and activities as you pass them, as well as the few destinations where you exit the tram to go inside a particular building to view something about the space program in detail. On our 3 tours the narrators were terrible, and one was horrible. Fast talking, super sloppy slurring diction, and we could hardly understand a word sald. I expected some level of professionalism, especially at an institution where highly technical operations are attended to by highly intelligent people.
I tend to be understanding and hate to trash anything, but this one aspect really disgusted me. I feel like complaining to NASA, seriously, and just might do so. But the tour company is probably private and not under NASA’s direct control.
