I had the opportunity to visit St. Augustine for the first time this past week. Prior to my arrival, I planned different activities that I would engage in, one of which was the Old Town Trolley Tours. It was with great anticipation that I got on the trolley to tour 22 points of interest in the city. The knowledgeable drivers animatedly described each stop in an attempt to make the landmarks come alive. I intended to rate the tour a 5/5 until I visited Fort Mose the following day. Fort Mose was the first free Black town in the present-day US. Not only is it a symbol of liberty, resilience , and the fight for human equity, it is part of the fabric of our nation’s history that ought not be forgotten. The blatant omission of this important landmark from the tour is simply a disgrace. The time to stand up for what is right is long overdue. Stop being a part of the problem and begin the process of healing by giving Fort Mose the acknowledgment and respect it so rightly deserves!

Hello Marie,
We were happy to hear our drivers were knowledgeable and brought the landmarks alive. That is a wonderful comment and we will be sure to share it with our CASTmembers.
In reference to the Fort Mose concerns, I am forwarding your comments to the General Manager for his review. We use our guests feedback to improve our services and guest experience. By way of explanation,
our tour of the historic district, in St. Augustine, covers over 100 points of interests within the tour route. We understand there are a lot of historical points of interest in and around the St. Augustine area, for this reason, we offer a number of specialty and educational tours through our groups and charters department.
