Operator was very personable and knowledgeable. I went on the 2 hour cruise which was a little long but still relaxing. Didn’t get to see any manatees because it was a busy day and they were hiding but it was still a beautiful place.

This park was just delightful. We enjoyed the boardwalk along the river and touring the home. We ate a picnic lunch on the front lawn. The bathrooms were clean and numerous. The 2 hour boat trip was peaceful with our driver and guide pointing out various wildlife and plants with humor and good infomration.

Very nice slow river cruise with a very knowledgeable captain/guide. We saw plenty of birdlife and some really big alligators. No manatees spotted during the cruise - but we saw one while walking along the boardwalk (not to be missed). Continue all along the boardwalk and you will get to the Blue Spring - It was a beautiful day and just very enjoyable. We also visited the house of Louis Thursby (built 1872). Apart from the kitchen there is not much to see - just empty rooms. It could be nice to see the rooms with some period furniture to get a better impression of how life was back then...
