A spectacular new experience in New York! Here's my tips:
1) Check on weather before you order tickets in advance. It makes a difference.
2) Go first thing in the morning if you can. We got 9 a.m. tickets on a Monday morning. Arrived fifteen minutes ahead of time and once the place opened up the line moved swiftly. There's was little of the waiting that you might experience later in the day. Plus, it's great to have the place relatively uncrowded before more and more people arrive every half hour.
3) Skip having your picture taken with the 3-D camera. You don't have to do it and this way you can move right ahead to the elevators.
4) Skip the elevator experience unless you have a great reason for doing it. It may look intriguing, but I don't think it's enough bang for the buck.
4) If there are tables or stools open on the third level, sit down and buy something to drink and enjoy the view. There is no other place where you can have this experience in front of floor to ceiling windows. Take advantage of it.
5) Although there are so many picture-taking opportunities, don't forget to put down your camera and be in the moment. Soak it all in!
