The boat had an unexpected issue and they offered refunds but knowing Viator would not refund our money we stayed in the harbor and had the best meal we’ve had while in Hawaii hands down.

The right engine broke before we could eat and they canceled. Waiting for my refund and taxi fee refund

We apologies for any inconvenience the mechanical problems caused you. We definitely don’t want to cancel trips because the cost us a lot of money and disappoint passengers, who then leave bad reviews. In this case a starter motor failed without warning and the decision to cancel the trip was one of passenger safety. Refunds are done through whomever you booked the trip with (in this case probably Viator) and the credit card companies seldom refund immediately. I would expect 7-10 business days for the refund to process. Like every other business, PKT is not responsible for any ancillary personal costs.

Did not have signs and personnel to guide us to the cruise ship so confuse the waiting area was not good The food was average for the price and the whole experience was disappointing

Thank you for taking the time to let us know what you think. If I am interpreting part of what you are saying correctly, it is important to realise that the posting of signs around the marina, or the surrounding public property, is not allowed. We have a very large sign in the only place we can put it, in front of our dock. Aslo, we have displayed the name of the boat in very large letters and in a very visible location. As far as having personnel to assist in finding the boat, I'm not sure how that is either practical nor implementable but we appreciate the feedback. Regarding the food and the overall experience as a whole, we are disappointed that the trip didn't meet your expectations and we take your criticism very seriously. We work very hard at PKT to provide the best experience possible. It looks like the trip got off on the wrong footing with you having issues finding the boat and, unfortunately, we couldn't overcome the first impressions.
