We were in Honolulu for the day and decided to do the sunset cruise. The captain got us out in the water and decided it was too rough. Instead of taking us back to the dock immediately, we rocked for two hours! People were getting sick. The wait staff and chef were awesome, which is the only reason I gave it three stars. Shame on you Captain Tracy. My dad commented he probably did that so he would not have to issue a refund.

We appreciate your feedback on the trip, and we are happy that you enjoyed the food, but there are a couple pieces of your review that need addressing. Firstly, and most importantly, the Captain DID NOT “decide it was too rough” and then proceed to complete the trip in order to “not have to issue a refund”. That kind of accusation is simply ignorant. The primary concern of Prince Kuhio Tours, on every cruise, is customer safety and comfort. We make it abundantly clear in our documentation and correspondence that we are cruising on open ocean and that passengers need to be aware of this and to consider motion sickness medication. Additionally, most passengers do not get motion sickness (even in the roughest seas) and also can’t reschedule their cruise (if we cancel), so we have to do our best to balance the variables and make the most people happy that we possibly can. The evening in question was a little rocky, but well within the typical sea sate for Hawaii at that time of year and Captain Tracy performed his duties exactly as a experienced professional would. Shame on you Carriea for making that accusation.

The sunset was amazingly beautiful! The food was delicious. Thank you 👨‍🍳 It was waives higher than usually but the overall experience is very memorable

I think you are the first reviewer to provide outerwear recommendations for future travelers... and we appreciate all the help we can get! LOL! We do our best to provide similar info for customers in our booking confirmation and reminder emails, but a lot of people don't read them. The weather that evening definitely wasn't typical for the time of year, but we are very happy you enjoyed the trip! Thanks for the great review and for the info assist!

This was such a great deal! The views were phenomenal! Definitely was on the cheaper side from most cruises I’ve come across. The ride lasted for a total of two hours. You’re able to walk freely around this double decker boat to take pictures and enjoy the scenery at any time! Drinks are served immediately (non-alcoholic beverages) They started serving the appetizer (salad) about 30mins in. For dinner, we were offered either fish with rice or roast with mash potatoes. I have to say, it did not look appetizing (as I am not a fan of saucy foods) but it was actually better than expected! 7/10. They also offered pineapple cheesecake towards the end. All in all, I would definitely recommend! Everyone was super friendly and it was well worth the price!

Thanks for the great review and its always nice to get a validation of our value philosophy. We definitely do our best to be the best value proposition and provide a memorable dining experience. Ill let the staff know about this review... although Chef Cater may not be happy with a 7/10 rating, but that keeps him "on his toes" LOL!
