While visiting, cross ‘learning how to surf’ off your to-do list! Learn surf techniques, safety rules and surf-break etiquette under the guidance of certified lifeguards and surf instructors. Choose either a small-group or private lesson, or if surfing isn’t up your alley, try stand-up paddleboarding instead! A bit easier than surfing, it’s still a great way to enjoy the beach while you’re on Oahu.

Can't say enough about this amazing company. David worked with our 18 year old who caught several waves in the hour long session. He hadn't ever surfed before, and now he's hooked. Everyone we worked with was professional and gracious, from making sure we all moved out of a Hawaiian monk seal's way to setting up chairs for viewers. Photos capture the joy but the memories are indelible! Mahalo to Surf HNL and recommended to anyone and everyone who is even thinking about getting a taste of surfing!

Aloha Elizabeth! A tad late..lol. But Mahalo for surfing with us. David is awesome and patient, so very perfect for your 18 year old. Happy you all had a great time and the overall experience. Where else can you surf, see a monk seal, hang out on the beach and watch your child surf. Hope to see you all back Dec 2019 for maybe another surf session for you and your 18 year old! My four kids ages 13 and 10 had such a blast with the team at Surf HNL! The kids were beaming as they gradually got up on the boards. I was also impressed by how patient the teachers were working with some more nervous kids. This was a real highlight on our trip. I highly recommend them!

My 16 year old son and his friend had a great first surf experience with Mike and Jaret. They were very engaging and professional. They were determined that both boys would have a great experience and get up on their boards. Both boys were able to get up and they had a blast! The only challenge we had was finding them on the beach. Fortunately we were able to get a hold of someone on the phone and they talked us through finding them.
