We booked a surf lesson on a multi stop trip from Colorado to California and let me tell you, it was the highlight of our stop in Santa Barbara. Jesse was an incredible instructor! Having only body surfing as child type of experience we had no expectations but Jesse made sure to explain it step by step and even pointed out where we could improve and provided tips. Following his clear instructions, and thanks to his kindness and patience, the three of us managed to stand up on our boards and ride a few waves! The students to instructor ratio is good enough to make you feel ease the anxiety of taking on a new activity but small enough to still get that one-on-one experience. This experience is worth every penny, we’re still talking about it days later!!

Instructor was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. It was my second lesson and I stood up 5 times! Of course, the instructor pushed me into the wave each time (I didn't have to paddle to catch the waves), but ... Mondo's beach was a great place to learn!

Great experience - a private lesson for 4 adults and a 7-year old at Haskell’s Beach in Goleta. We walked over (5 min) from the Ritz Carlton Bacara. Mack and Ryan were super knowledgeable, friendly, professional and fun! They made us feel safe and got us right out into the water. We had so much fun! Highly recommended if staying at the Ritz!
