Experience the thrill of catching a wave on Oahu’s North Shore, known worldwide as a surfing mecca. Head to Haleiwa and learn the basics from a licensed surf instructor who stays by your side, ensuring you catch gentle but rideable waves. Beginners, hang loose — your 2-hour lesson takes place in a protected cove at Haleiwa Beach Park, safely away from larger ocean swells. Choose from multiple options: group, semi-private or private family lesson in the morning, midday or afternoon.

One of the highlights of our trip! We were a group of two moms and three kids (7-9) and we all had a fantastic experience with north shore surf girls. Carol was easy to work with, her instructors were excellent, they had everything we needed. She has a photographer who captured great shots of the kids. The waves were perfect for beginners - we all got up on our first try. You won’t regret it!!

When in Hawaii....try surfing. And if you are going to try surfing....go with Carol at North Shore Surf Girls. Carol can make a surfer out of even the most timid swimmer. Our party of four 50-somethings all managed to get up and have a great time. Carol is patient and makes it all seem so easy (it isn't but she makes you feel like a hero).

Carol showed us a fantastic time when we came surfing in September. Our group was mixed, with 2 having not surfed before and 1 with a bit of experience (me). Carol ensured that we all learned lots, and had one of her instructors teach the 2 beginners while Carol herself taught me how to catch my own wave without pushing assistance. Carol was also kind enough to rent a board to use for another day, and she transported the board to the beach for me as I didn't have a roof rack. She kept an eye on me while I rented the board (while she taught a lesson nearby) and ensured I was safe while attempting to catch waves on my own. She was super helpful with lots of good tips. She also has really cool t-shirts to buy with her logo on it!
