Enjoyed Sam’s stories, personality and humor. Also, he took an interest in our group members. Only suggestion for improvement would be to speak a little louder. Sometimes traffic noise drowned out his voice. Overall, very enjoyable.

Sam who is a vet, artist, makes jam AND a storyteller was a delightful and informative guide. Yes, he took us into some art galleries but Taos’ evolving history is woven into artist who came and changed the timbre of the city. We were really glad to have had this experience with Sam. Oh and yes, we were a group of 8 but none fo that impacted the enjoyment of the tour.

As others have said, this is NOT a private tour, which I thought I was paying for. I was surprised and not particularly happy that we spent time in several private galleries (which is my bad for not carefully reading the info on this site). We also went into an artist's collective, where Sam led us to his own artwork. Also as others have mentioned, there was no real pressure to buy but I felt a bit uncomfortable. The entire tour was in an area directly around the plaza which was fine since there's a lot of history close in. Sam also gave us a reading list. It was all okay but I can only give a 3 out of 5.
