Glacier de Menden Hall

Ride to and from glacier was fine, very friendly drivers. The only issue was having to wait 2 hours for ride back to town at the end of our tour due to about 200 people in line waiting for bus. Instead of calling for additional buses, the company stuck to the every 30 minute schedule, even though no one was riding the bus from town to glacier that time of day.

Booked the Blue Bus online. We were on an NCL Cruise which provided a shuttle from the dock to the Tram area were we met the Blue Bus. Look for orange hat fellow. Bring a print out of your email to verify your tickets purchased. Bus runs every 30 minutes. Restrooms are nearby. Our driver was funny and informative. Pointed out several bald eagles. Dropped us off a short walk from the glacier visitor center. We stayed at the glacier as long as we liked, walked back to the pick up point, and took the bus back to town. The driver on the return trip gave us the option to get off in town near The Red Dog Saloon (which we did - browsed and shopped as we walked back to the NCL shuttle pick up point). You can choose to stay on board and be dropped off at the Tram area.

The blue bus was the best way for us to spend time at the glacier. Both guides filled us in on the area on the trip. They were funny and well informed.
