Do not book and prevent wasting your money. This tour is falsely advertised and NOT a wild life tour. I booked this tour for an unique wildlife tour. The tour guide falsely advertise himself as a wildlife expertise while in fact he does not know any special spot for wildlife habitat. He took us to most touristy spots of the Rocky Mountain national park where we saw NO animals. He told us to go and hike to the fall while he pretended to search for mountain sheep. When we came back from hiking on our own, he was sleeping in the car. The only animal we saw was elk in the entrance of the park, which if you have ever been to Rocky Mountain national park before, you will know anyone and everyone can see elks near the entrance. This tour is absolutely unacceptable and wonder how the tour guide has the heart to falsely advertise such a tour.

Hello JaeEun, Thank you for your review. I am sorry you are disappointed with the tour. It was run as advertised, on all the open roads on the east side of the park, as per the regular half day tour. There are no other roads (or special wildlife sections in that area) to take on the half day tour. It is the 3rd busiest park in the nation and has quite a few people in most areas. The full day tour would have allowed for quieter sections. I always suggest guests take 2 hikes, one privately to have a break from me and another where I join to take photos of the guests with the waterfalls, which I did with your group as well. As warned with the previous day’s phone call, the heat can cause the animals to seek shade earlier in the day. That is why I offered to reduce down to the half day option and its price, which you accepted along with the partial refund. I am not understanding why you would say we saw no animals. Despite the heat, we did see quite a few species: elk (a large herd very close to us), wild turkey, mule deer, golden-mantle ground squirrels, least chipmunk, yellow-bellied marmot, pika, black-billed magpie, American crow, common raven, and steller’s jay. However, as I tell all my clients, the animals are truly wild, and there can be no guarantees to what we see in the park. I gave you my best half-day tour with the things I could control: warning you of the heat issue and reducing the tour length and price, changing the start time for best chances of seeing animals, and driving you to find the animals based on my previous experiences based on the time of day and how far we could travel on a half-day.

My wife and I took our three grandkids for a day in the park with Chadd. To say he was pleasant, knowledgeable and engaging would be an understatement. He taught us many awesome things and kept us engaged all day. We saw a bull Elk, a mama Moose and her baby, a bunch of other Elk, tons of deer, yellow bellied squirrels, chipmunks, ground squirrels and as a bonus he showed us a hummingbird nest with the mom sitting on her nest! Chadd is well worth the price you pay and you will not be disappointed! Bravo this trip is a 10 out of 10!

Chad is a total pro! His expertise was second to none. The tour has a super relaxed vibe and it’s obvious right off the bat that he is incredibly knowledgeable and has extensive experience with the wildlife in the park. Chadd is very professional yet we felt like we were riding around with a familiar friend as he shared his stories of his first-hand experience of living with the animals. If it’s animals you want to see, Chadd is your guide! We were on a Moose Mission from the start and boy did we get to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat! We saw many moose mamas with their babies and even a set of moose twins! We crossed all the animals we wanted to see off our list which included: moose, big horn sheep, uncountable elk, barn swallows, hummingbirds, and even coyote! All of these animals (except the coyote) had their babies with them! The best part is that Chadd took us off the main path to truly witness these beautiful creatures as close as (safely) possible in their habitats. We will definitely book Chadd again in the future when we return with children of our own! (These photos are just a small few from the phone, they don’t compare to the photos we caught through our SLR camera!)

Well thank you for the amazing review Marcella! I am so happy you all had such a great time. I am glad we had as much luck as we did seeing all the different wildlife, especially all the babies! It is always is a joy seeing how happy my tours make everyone. I am also happy for all the laughs we shared along the way, and that our sense of humor was on the same wave length. It always makes the days fly right by and feels like family! Be safe and enjoy your upcoming vacations.
