Great museum! Lots of reading so I wouldn’t recommend taking young ones. Felt like you were part of the ship! I loved seeing all the items that you were actually recovered from the ship.

Was able to time it so line was very minimal so we were able to take as long as we wanted inside. Each of us was given a handheld device for a self guided tour. The bottom floor was where the majority of actual artifacts were located. No photos were allowed here. On the second and third floors were some interesting artifacts and recreations. I especially liked the lifeboat that you could actually sit in and the place where you could put your hand in water that was 28 degrees, the temperature of the water when the Titanic sunk. What I didn’t care for is the upper floors seemed more like a holocaust museum than the Titanic. I don’t really see how one has anything to do with the other. The Titanic sunk decades before WWII and the holocaust. Overall enjoyable but definitely won’t be something I’ll pay to see again.

Lots of interesting info I hadn’t heard before. They give you an audio player which tells you about most of the exhibits. This really helps if you don’t want to read everything! You can go through at your own pace. They assign a persona to you when you check in and you get to see if your person lived or died at the end of the exhibit. I thought this was cool. They also have the music of the last song that was played as the ship sank. They allow you to play the song on the piano if you are a pianist. Then you get a special postcard that says you played the piano on the Titanic; that was neat! Of particular interest was an exhibit that allowed you to feel how cold the water was where the Titanic sank. There is a timer to see how long you can keep your hand in the frigid water (not long for me!!)
