À quoi s'attendre
1
WeVenture New Orleans
Your New Orleans Total Day Tour starts where it all began, on the banks of the Mississippi River. From here, you’ll witness the lifeblood of this region which brought new cultures, new influences and new ingredients to the USA through its ports. As they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. To wake up your taste buds, we’ll indulge in New Orleans’ most iconic breakfast pastry, the beignet.
2
French Market
Next we will head to The French Market, the site of America’s oldest public market and then on to the picturesque streets of the French Quarter where your guide will take you to some of their favorite palate-pleasing spots. You’ll sample both a classic dish, as well as a delicacy that you’ve probably never seen outside Cajun country. You’ll then have the chance to try a dish that sparks more controversy amongst chefs than any other in New Orleans: gumbo. We’ll also indulge in a sweet treat made from locally grown sugarcane and the region’s abundant pecans.
3
French Quarter
There will then be an opportunity to have a coffee or do some souvenir shopping in the French Quarter with your guide before we take a short walk to Jackson Square, where we’ll begin the cocktail portion of your total day tour! We will be going beyond the tourist trail to show you what really makes New Orleans cocktail culture unique. For our first cocktail stop we will travel back to the 1700s and visit a bar which used to entertain some of the most eccentric characters in New Orleans history. We will taste a famous drink of the city and learn how it has influenced New Orleans drinking culture today. We will then visit one of your guide’s favorite bars and taste a drink so good you’ll forget there’s alcohol in it. Next up, we will sample the ‘official cocktail of New Orleans’: the Sazerac. One of the first cocktails ever invented, it’s definitely tasty enough to stand the test of time. Our final cocktail stop will be at one of the classiest establishments in town to try one of the city’s most esteemed drinks, the Ramos Gin Fizz. After your first sip, you’ll truly understand why New Orleans has been called, “the cradle of civilized drinking.”
4
Louis Armstrong Park
There will be an opportunity to rest your feet or grab a bite to eat before the jazz portion of the tour begins. Then we’ll head over to the historic and beautiful Louis Armstrong Park in the Tremé neighborhood.
5
Frenchmen Street
We'll begin to make our way to the popular Marigny neighborhood, named after the nobleman and good-time guy of the same name. Updated for modern thirsts, Marigny is a hip nightlife area that appeals to New Orleanians and visitors alike. Your guide will lead the way, making sure to point out a few popular local music and nightlife haunts along the way. Soon we will arrive at the famous Frenchmen Street, the largest concentration of live music venues in the city. Your guide will take you inside one of his/her favorites for a beer on us (you’re very welcome to purchase additional beverages if you want them). In New Orleans, there’s always the opportunity for an element of surprise. We’ll be on the lookout for impromptu street performances, which always make the night special. And if the timing and mood is right, we’ll get behind the scenes with one of the bands in between sets.

Great way to experience the city. If your plan is to walk around, eat, drink, and listen to music- you might as well be led by a local that knows all the spots and can provide a history lesson along the way. It's a long day, but exactly what we wanted to do.

By far the best day I have spent whilst travelling around the USA for work. I purposely gave myself an extra day in NO as I heard great things about the city and wanted time to explore. I choose this tour as it offered something different to other more "tourist" tours, but covered everything that's great about New Orleans, its food, its jazz scene, all topped off with some cocktails...what a combination. The day flew by and even though it was only a small group of us, it made the tour more personal which is always better. The tour is broken down into sections so you can really focus on each area in more detail. The guides was fantastic, really knew there stuff and shared stories with us I doubt we would of heard otherwise. Really enjoyed the day, the perfect tour for any first timer or those who want an in-depth cover of the best bits of the city in one day!

My wife and I came to New Orleans to celebrate her birthday and we did this tour for the first time. Had 3 different tours and 3 different guides, which was cool because we got to experience the city from different perspectives. Angela lead us on the food tour and she was a real pleasure to be with, and very informative. Ryan led us on the cocktail tour and shared a lot of cool history about the town, not to mention all the neat bars that we otherwise never would have known about. Keenan led us on the Jazz tour and shared a lot of information passed down from his grandfather. He made it real personable. Overall, all 3 of our guides were amazing and very laid back. We will definitely do it again!
