Vermilionville sits on a beautiful tree-covered 23-acre site on the banks of the Bayou Vermilion with 19 attractions, including seven restored original homes with costumed artisans that provide demonstrations on crafts performed by Native Americans and early settlers. Vermilionville provides its guests with a place for history, music, food, cultural exchange, historic architecture and much more. This is a self-guided tour, where you can explore all of Vermilionville at your own pace.

a low energy wander around an acadian village with outfitted staff to offer information. A something for everybody gift shop worth a visit. We had a group buffet meal on a tour, excellent food, overall a good all age experience.

Our guide was very pleasant and we enjoyed spending three houses touring the houses and hearing the stories about the Acadians .
