The walking tour was a good idea but for my family a failure. The group had far too many participants which meant for a slow pace. Being downtown Boston and in such a large group (ca 50+) meant that the city noise level was too high and made it nearly impossible without boxing gloves and a hearing aid to hear the tour guide and her historical information. We were frustrated - so we left.

Caitlin Johnston was our tour guide and she did a fantastic job. She stayed in character but still was very personable, thoughtfully answered questions from participants and chatted off script with us about Boston between stops. She was also very concerned with the safety of everyone as we followed her through intersections. Very enjoyable and informative 90 min.

Had a great tour with Caitlin, who is very knowledgable and friendly. Tour size was around 20 people which was perfect as we could hear well and see the guide at all times. The route is a must do, as the content is so interesting and important to understand the history of Boston. There was a good mix of humour and facts - with plenty of short stops to ensure you are not bored and get to stretch your legs around the scenes!
