We had booked ahead with our family of 10 for the 1:00 tour. We were told to meet at 12:45 as they leave promptly at 1:00. However at 1:00 our group and approx 10 others were all waiting. After multiple calls the guide or in our case two guides showed up about 1:15. They gave a very insincere apology and then we were off. We went to the first site or actually nearby because the guide said it was too hot to go in the sun to the actual memorial for the Boston Massacre. Then we continued on to the other sites upon which our guide shared his version of history which much of which was not accurate. He also mentioned several times about how tired he was and spoke mostly with his eyes closed and forgetting where he was in his story. Some of the other guides we saw along the the way seemed to be much more involved and engaging with their groups. However ours started late and they ended early and it was still way too long for our liking. But they made sure to ask for money before releasing us.......

We toured on a HOT July day, so the fact that it was only 1.2 miles and the tour guide did her best to keep us in the shade, which was GREAT. The guide was pretty informative, although I did notice the other guide accompanying her mouth the correct dates when she would mess up....but this was only a few times and honestly her scripts were long so I could easily see where you would mess up (just unfortunate that it was historical dates.) I found her to be pretty entertaining, but my husband and two boys (11 and 13) lost interest about an hour into the tour. The information at some of the stops could have been shorter and some of the odd stories left out. FYI...you do not see the entire Freedom trail, only about 4-5 stops (counting the graveyard as 1.) If you want a shorter tour of the Freedom Trail, this one is good.

70+ people and extremely long stops, 3 stops in Boston Commons alone.... the guide stood up in the middle of the cemetary atop the highest tomb, pointed towards where Sam Adams and Paul Revere were buried and started screaming for over 40 minutes about unrelated history...all stops were painfully long and because we were sooo many he kept on screaming. I looked around and almost everyone, from kids to older adults, seemed annoyed. We walked off and got on a tour with a different company.
