The trolley ride takes about 35-40 minutes and you'll get to see our many acres and acres of tea bushes. You'll learn more about tea both from our trolley guide as well as our founder, Bill Hall, who narrates a portion of the tour over the bus sound system. The trolley also makes a stop at the greenhouse where everyone departs the trolley and gets to see up close and personal just what it takes to bring new tea bushes into the world. This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience

A friend and I took a 45-minute trolley tour around the plantation which began and ended in the tea shop. I learned a lot about tea in general and tea grown in the US. I was disappointed that they didn't have a little restaurant in which you could sit and order sandwiches and have hot tea served--that would have capped it off for me. Instead, they had various hot teas in self-serve urns in the shop. The tour wasn't mind-blowing--just a pleasant ride with information that is best appreciated by tea drinkers. It was a bit of a drive from the city, as one could expect given the acreage needed for a thriving plantation.

What a fun visit! I had no idea that the making of tea could be so interesting. Andi, our tour guide, made it extra fun, too! The tour starts out in the gift shop with all of the free tea you can drink. There is a short video tour you can take which walks you through the production process after the leaves are gathered. Then there is a trolley tour which takes you through the fields and the greenhouse to see how and where the plants are actually grown. All in all, it wasn't only informative, it was fun!

Fun day trip. We had a great guide on the Trolley named Andrea… she kept us laughing the entire ride and explained everything you could want to know about tea. Great gift shop also!
