My husband and I did the morning snorkeling session and were fortunate that only a small group attended this session - only about 15 people were in the session but they said the previous week had about 35-40. Flynn and the crew were super friendly and informative. All instructions were clearly provided and we were able to get into the water pretty quickly once we arrived. Snorkels, life jackets, and flippers were all provided. The crew also mentioned that we happened to have come on a really good day where the water was super clear and they had actual spotted turtles in another area and said we would come back if we didn't see turtles at Turtle Canyon.
Once we arrived at Turtle Canyon, we were guided around the area and saw many turtles along the sea floor as well as several that came up to the surface for air. We also spotted tons of fish, an eagle ray, and reefer shark! Other people in our group also saw a jellyfish - one of the snorkelers in our group was grazed by the jellyfish and the crew quickly escorted them back onto the boat so that they could attend to the wound. Our crew was also on top of ensuring that all snorkelers (not just our group) provided space for turtles as they were surfacing - it's evident that they really care about the sea life and following safety protocols.
When the Turtle Canyon area started becoming crowded as multiple snorkeling groups were arriving, our guides took us away from the crowd so that we would be able to snorkel easily and with more space. Drinks and snacks were available if you wanted during the morning session free of charge but tipping is highly encouraged. Overall, had an amazing experience and the views we saw were unreal. My only regret is not having brought a GoPro to capture what we saw! Would highly recommend this tour!
