We had the WHOLE family on board age range (8 - 78) and we all had a great time! Very MUCH worth the time and experience for all! BTW ... I NEVER take the time to write reviews but this one deserved the extra effort!

The place was difficult to find as there was no obvious business to go to. There was four of us on the trip and not much room for anyone else. The boat turned up 25 minutes late and we then waited another 15 minutes to leave the dock. During the trip we saw one dolphin fin and a stuffed camel. Otherwise we just looked at the back of houses. Our tour was then completed 35 mins early!

I apologize you didn't enjoy your experience. We, at Banana River Boat Tours have never received a bad review. That being said, I feel it necessary to respond to each concern you voiced individually. The place was difficult to find as there was no obvious business to go to. All of the online booking platforms clearly state our business address as 400 W. Cocoa Beach Cswy. The marina we depart from has been in business since the 1960s. There was four of us on the trip and not much room for anyone else. As an experienced EcoTour/fishing charter captain here in the Banana River, I personally designed The Opa to accommodate 6 guests comfortably whether on a EcoTour or fishing charter. Many of our five star reviewers raved about the "private" tour feel and room to move about the boat. The boat turned up 25 minutes late and we then waited another 15 minutes to leave the dock. True, we were late. However, we contacted the local number you provided and left a message to make you aware of the schedule change approximately 1 1/2 hours prior to your departure time. When the mate spoke to you at the dock, you expressed no concern over the delay. She also assured you of a full 2 hour tour with a later return time than originally scheduled to accommodate the initial delay. At that point, you again expressed no concern as you were on "island time". During the trip we saw one dolphin fin and a stuffed camel. As stated at the beginning of the tour, it is a wildlife tour with no guarantees of wildlife other than the captain and a camel. We travel through the Thousand Islands which is a very biologically eco-diverse system that is unpredictable. Otherwise we just looked at the back of houses. Yes, you are correct, on the left hand side of the boat you saw Cocoa Beach waterfront homes. If you had looked to the right, you would've seen mangrove islands filled with natural Florida wildlife. Your wife even commented on how exciting it was to be able to see the "Pelican Tree". Our tour was then completed 35 minutes early! Here at Banana River Boat Tours, safety is our number one priority. As we began our northward journey, the boat was running a bit rough. We stopped to make a minor adjustment to assure safe return, for all 4 guests as well as the 2 crew members on board, to the marina. Unfortunately, that did not solve the issue. Based solely upon the captain's decision, we returned promptly to the marina. In order to ensure your safe arrival at the marina, we did disembark earlier than expected. Ensuring a safe return sometimes doesn't always produce a fruitful tour, but in this instance it was absolutely necessary. We offered the other 2 guests the opportunity to rebook a free tour as well as a 10% off discount card for the restaurant. Unfortunately, you abruptly left once you returned to the dock so we could not extend the same offer to you and your wife. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us. I do hope you enjoy your time in Cocoa Beach and safe travels! Please feel free to give me a call if you have any additional concerns to discuss. We had an amazing time with Captain CJ. The day was beautiful, warm and sunny. There were only the 4 of us on the pontoon. It was a fun time because it felt like a private tour. The Captain filled us in on a variety of information about the Banana River. We didn't see very many birds and no dolphins or manatees, but that was ok. The Captain told us we were on Island Time, nothing rushed, just enjoy the day.
