Nos excursions VIP exclusives d'observation des baleines durent 2 heures avec un maximum de 12 invités. Nos petits groupes font de chaque siège un siège au premier rang pendant que vous profitez de l'observation des baleines et des conférences éducatives de notre naturaliste marin à bord. Nos bateaux de rafting gonflables sont sûrs, voyagent rapidement pour trouver des baleines et une balade amusante pour toute la famille.

Voir les baleines à bosse qui ont parcouru 3 000 milles depuis l'Alaska pour accoucher et s'accoupler dans un sanctuaire protégé de Maui Nui au large de Lahaina, où les eaux sont connues pour être chaudes et calmes. Lors de nos observations de baleines, nous pouvions voyager de 2 à 10 milles du port de Lahaina, rencontrant souvent des dauphins en plus des baleines à bosse. I took my boyfriend and his parents on their first whale watching trip. The booking process was a little disappointing as the woman on the phone was impatient and a bit rude. We zoomed off to any whale that was active rather than giving the ones we were watching a few minutes. I wish we had cut the engine more. It was hectic. We also paid for a less crowded boat of 12 but there was 16. It made a big difference on our small boat. The most disappointing part however, was the lack of conservation messaging, there was none. This tour is really about getting the perfect photo and unfortunately, there was a professional photographer that physically pushed my mother-in-law out of the way several times. While the company can’t do anything about who books the tour, he was booked on two tours everyday for several days. He should get a private tour. We are all paying the same amount. I wouldn’t go back with this company. The whales gave us a spectacular show and the naturalist and captain were friendly but I felt uncomfortable with how aggressive we were around the whales. The whole experience was uncomfortable.

Mahalo for your feedback, sorry your experience with us was not our typical experience. Although we do not add more than 12 guests on our VIP trips, our crew does count as additional 2 as Captain and First Mate. No matter with us or any company in the future, we always encourage guests to share their concerns during the tour with the Captain or First Mate so we have the opportunity to address your concern, whether it be in regards to other guests, or anything else. We have been taking Ultimate Whale Watch for years now and it never disappoints. The crew is outstanding and they ALWAYS find whales. Since they only have small boats you can really experience encounters up close especially when the whales swim to you and under the boat. Kudos to Pam, Hannah, Tiffany and Mario. They were all terrific. We shall see you next year😄

We did two 3 hour whale watches with Ultimate, one with Gabe and Vinny, and one with James and Rhianna. The weather was perfect on our first whale watch, and Capt. Gabe was very knowledgeable about the whales we saw. I was impressed with his boat driving skills (keeping up with the whales in a safe and photogenic manner), and with his explanations of what the whales were doing. (we saw a competition group chase around a female with a calf for about an hour and a half) and we saw a beautiful sunset as we came in to the harbor. Our second whale watch was not for the faint of heart, the seas were rough and the wind was blowing, luckily I was prepared for the weather, and did not mind getting completely soaking wet for three hours. Capt. James did a great job navigating in the challenging weather, and I never felt unsafe though the waves and wind were intense. We were rewarded with whales breaching in every direction, and even a friendly encounter with a cow/calf/escort group swimming under the boat. Rhianna, our guide was actually prepared with a GoPro on a pole, and was able to get the video, put it on her phone and then airdrop it to passengers right there on the boat. I am sure she would have been happy to send it another way for the android users out there. Overall, I would highly recommend this company for a raft boat whale watch experience. Make sure to check the weather beforehand to know what you're getting into. Another plus from this tour was that the boat has a waterproof area to store bags/cameras/etc. Mahalo for the great adventures!
