Our Exclusive VIP whale watching tours are 2 hours long with a maximum of 12 guests. Our small groups make every seat a front row seat as you enjoy whale watching and educational talks from our marine naturalist onboard. Our inflatable rafting vessels are safe, travel quickly to find whales and a fun ride for the whole family.

See Humpback Whales that have traveled 3000 miles from Alaska to give birth and mate in the protected Maui Nui sanctuary off Lahaina where the waters are known for being warm and calm. On our whale watches we could travel anywhere from 2 to 10 miles from Lahaina, often encountering dolphins in addition to humpback whales. Guarantee whale sightings Dec-April, or go again for FREE!

We are locally owned and operated since 1982 and every ticket supports our participation in marine research projects and our role as certified first responders to whale entanglements.

We were spoiled rotten today with wonderful Captain Tiffany and phenomenal guide Mario!! We were able to see a mama and baby playing in the water, had a male come right up beside us, saw a few more hanging out, and had one breech about 200-250 yards in front of us. Tiffany and Mario were hilarious and answered any and all of the questions that we had. They made ridiculous whale puns, taught us different ways to identify male vs female and individual whales, and SO MUCH MORE. I guarantee you won't regret hitting the water we these guys. Worth every penny. We had a whale of a good time! Thanks again Ultimate and especially Tiffany and Mario. xo

I did a series of 6 trips out with Ultimate this time around and they are the best! Captains Amy, Joel, and Gabe spot and get you to whales fast as well as position the boat for ultimate viewing. The crew/naturalists I had - Heather, Emma, Clint and Hannah have excellent knowledge about these mammals and you will learn a ton. You can also ask Captain Amy about koalas and Emma will happily play you her favorite whale songs! Thanks for a great set of whale watching trips - you make my trip fantastic!

Great experience. Amy and Hannah were very fun and exciting and informative. Amy was a stellar captain of the ship. Hannah captured some great moments with her camera. We saw two breaches, fin slapping, tail flukes, bottlenose dolphins, spinner dolphins (pod of maybe 100), and several of them jumping out. A juvenile humpback whale got curious about us and swam towards us and then flipped and went under the boat exposing his belly to us all. Very cool.
