1
Bay View Farm
Travel south into Kona coffee country for the first stop at Bay View Farm, a working 24 acre coffee farm nestled on the slopes of Mauna Loa Volcano just above beautiful Kealakekua Bay and known for the best Kona coffee since 1984. Here you’ll see coffee growing on the trees and learn about the various steps and processes in making coffee, all of which happen right here on the farm. You’ll sample Kona Coffee at a gorgeous overlook with stunning views of Kealakekua Bay and the monument to Captain Cook standing on the only sliver of British land in the United States.
2
Punalu'u Black Sand beach
The adventure continues as you head through the South Kona and Ka’u Districts. Stunning views, alternating between stark lava flows and Hawaiian dry forest, are visible through the huge picture windows of your tour vehicle. We stop briefly at picturesque Punalu’u Black Sand Beach. Lined with swaying coconut palm trees, this is one of the best black sand beaches on the island. Stroll along the beach and look for honu (Green Hawaiian Sea Turtles) feeding just offshore or sun-worshipping on the sand
3
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
Next travel to the crown jewel of Hawaii, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Visit the Kilauea Visitor’s Center, the Kilauea Iki Crater Overlook, and Steaming Bluffs. Take a walk through the famous Volcano House to view the smoking and steaming Kilauea Caldera. Dropping down into the lush eastern side of Kilauea Volcano our next stop is Big Island Candies.

We came to Hawaii, and stayed in Honolul but wanted to experience another island. This tour was the perfect long day trip to capture the essence of the big island. We drove around the entire island making stops at most of the main attractions and were able to glimpse into what this island has to offer. Amazing sights and views. On top of that, our tour guide John was fantastic. So personable and knowledgeable, even people outside our group would try to join in on his discussions when at various stops. I would recommend this tour and John for anyone wanting to experience the big Island.:)

We toured the Big Island during our 9 day vacation. It was such a memorable tour that our family will never forget thanks to our amazing tour guide Lawrence!! Lawrence provided us with so much information about the history and culture of the Big Island. The tour bus was roomy and very comfortable. We toured the entire island in a little less than 12 hours. Everyone was engaged the entire time, even the young ones ages 10 and 11. I don’t think anyone else could have made the tour/day so special. We took the tour on day 7 of our vacation which was our mistake. We should have booked the tour on day 2 so that we would have time to revisit our favorite locations. There was so much to do and see on the Big Island we look forward to our next visit!! Thank you Kapohokine Adventures and special big thank you to our new friend Lawrence!! Aloha

This was a great tour. We were hesitant to book this tour due to the 12 hour duration, however every minute was well worth it. 10 guests on a comfortable bus made the tour very personable. Our tour guide, Lisa, was the best guide we have ever had. She was very knowledgeable and made us all feel like family. I would highly recommend this tour.
