No experience is needed, so all are welcome. Experience Class 3 to Class 4 whitewater rapids with a top-rafted rafting outfitter. Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

We rafted twice with Smoky Mountain Outdoors, and both experiences were excellent! Santiago and Jake (Jacob) were both fantastic guides who made our trips super fun while also safe! These trips down the river were the highlights of our time in the Great Smoky Mountains. The views are gorgeous, the rapids are a blast, and the guides are awesome! The trips are reasonably priced and well worth the money. Definitely buy the photos -- they are excellent. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Smokies!

The trip was awesome. If you’re looking for something to do while in the Smokey’s, I highly recommend. Chris was really cool. He let us decide if we wanted to hit certain spots or if we wanted to avoid them. I will say, “Extreme” basically just means private boat. Same trip as the others, except we had a smaller boat and weren’t with strangers.

The facilities of this place are fantastic and the river was amazing as well. More importantly, Randy was a stellar guide. He’s hilarious and incredibly personable. An excellent character and an overall righteous dude. If I want anybody guiding me over those tough rapids, it’s this guy.
