The Mojave Desert is a xeric desert in the rain shadow of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the Southwestern United States. It is named for the indigenous Mojave people. It is located primarily in southeastern California and southwestern Nevada, with small portions extending into Arizona and Utah.
Valley of Fire State Park is a public recreation and nature preservation area covering nearly 46,000 acres (19,000 ha) located 16 miles (26 km) south of Overton, Nevada.The state park derives its name from red sandstone formations, the Aztec Sandstone, which formed from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago.These features, which are the centerpiece of the park's attractions, often appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun's rays. It is Nevada's oldest state park, as commemorated with Nevada Historical Marker #150. It was designated as a National Natural Landmark in 1968.

Las Vegas and Grand Canyon Tours really stood out to me compared to other companies because they booked me for a solo tour (not common) and were flexible with my start time based on flying out of Vegas later in the afternoon too. Regarding my tour booking, I was given sufficient notifications via text and email that made me feel secure about the trip. I was picked up at my actual hotel and given good information about Vegas and surrounding areas as we drove to the Valley of Fire park. Upon arrival to the park, we had a good plan in place to view all the relevant locations so I could get good pictures. Gio was knowledgeable about activities of the native peoples who lived and the petroglyphs that can be seen on the different trails. Regarding the trails, I am not an expert hiker but was able to do the short trails based on Gio's guidance and she led the way well so I just had to listen and get my photos instead of worrying about keeping track of our location.

Where do we begin! Gio was awesome from the get go and very Informative during the whole tour. She also gave us some pointers of some cool spots to check out in Vegas. Def recommend this for anyone wanting to venture out from the strip for the day. They also provide snacks for you as well. Thanks Gio for being an awesome guide! Much love from Texas!

Valley of Fire was gorgeous! Truly loved our trip there! We could not have asked for better weather. Gio was a super friendly, great guide and showed us all the best parts of the park. It was our 1st time to the park and would definitely come back whenever we are in Las Vegas!!
