Unfortunately, the tour started anything but desirable. First, the driver arrived late, and then waited another 10-15 minutes at the Bellagio, although apparently no one was to be picked up there, because the other passengers joined at other pick-up points. But that was not enough. Arrived at the starting point of the tour, we were told that we still had to wait about 45 minutes, because it was much too hot.
After it should then go another 45 minutes later and we finally sat in the helicopter, the pilot found that his headset did not work. So all out of the helicopter again, back to the base, wait again, to then board a new helicopter.
Finally we started a 5:15 pm. 2 hours after pickup.
I think with better advance planning, as well as checks of the helicopters one could save the participants a lot of time and nerves, which could be spent in Las Vegas also otherwise outstanding.
When we got into the helicopter, we felt like a sardine in a can. Sitting very close together. Seat selection not possible. Only two of the 6 guests were lucky enough to sit in the front, where in my eyes the only smart seats with the best view are located.
The time in the Grand Canyon is minimal. One flies briefly to the west end and then back again. Not what I expected.
Last but not least, despite the delay, we got back way too early, so there was barely a light on the Strip. So there was no talk of the promised "wonderful neon lights". Disappointing, because this view would have been possibly beautiful.
The flight as such was nice to experience, the view wonderful, but I would not book here a second time and certainly not for over 1000$!
All in all, poorly planned and implemented.
