Left promptly at 8:30am. Smaller boat with 12 or so on board. Captain & mate were friendly and very helpful. Very clear on the rules (eg, don't touch the turtles). Very clear on what to expect (eg, you're gonna get wet, you'll have a full hour in the ocean, this is how the snorkle works). We could stow things we wanted to stay dry in a big locker -- very helpful. A small catamaran like this can be a little barfy and you need some agility to get situated & move around. But I'm 67 and had no problems. A few other older people also did just fine. If you want a nice, big comfortable boat, this is not your tour. But if you want a cool experience that feels like a real sail, and are looking for value, then go for it. I'd recommend this for anyone with kids old enough to handle themselves well, as we as for any adult who can still get around a bit. Oh, the turtles were fantastic, too.

Saw many beautiful turtles and the boat ride was closer to shore so very safe. Saw a squid and eel, there were many others swimming but plenty of space overall. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable but otherwise let guests deal with themselves, even when they struggled or were sick. Great for the cost, perhaps not so great for newbies to the ocean who need more guidance.

This is our second trip aboard the Mana Kai boat. We choose this snorkeling tour because it is easy and short. We hoped on at Waikiki Beach in front of the Duke’s statue. Price is right as well. Saw at least 10 turtles.
