The tour used our GPS to give precise directions (where to turn). It might have been an atmospheric problem, but sometimes a segment would repeat, which was a bit annoying. But the tour said where to stop, where to park, and locations for great pictures. I just wish the tour had provided an exact address where to begin. The interspersed stories were interesting.

Thanks for sharing your experience! We’re glad the GPS directions were helpful, though we apologize for the occasional repeating segments – that may have been due to a temporary glitch, and we’ll work on improving that. We appreciate your feedback on the tour’s stops, parking suggestions, and photo spots, and we’ll take note of the request for more specific starting addresses. We're happy to hear you enjoyed the stories along the way! Let us know if you have any other suggestions or need assistance.

First, the technology utilizing GPS and synching the narration to where you are is excellent. At each stop there was a thorough description of that location including history. I did learn a lot about Kauai. My big complaint comes with the narration. The guys voice was just too gleeful, almost like it was a kids show. He was trying to be too entertaining where this should be informative. That brings me to my other big complaint about the narration; insipid writing. Especially as the day wore on, it seems they thought it should get sillier, but instead it was cringe-worthily stupid. Based on this alone, we chose to skip the other three Kauai guides and visit the stops we were interested in individually and jump to the narrative of just those stops. Shaka needs to decide if their product should be a serious documentation of their subject for those who want to learn as much as possible or a cutesy less-serious, less impactful piece of entertainment. You can't be both. If it sounds like I'm being an intellectual snob, that's not it. I purchased this product to be informative and to a reasonable amount it is. But don't insult our intelligence with insipid, unneeded, unwanted "entertainment".

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Waimea Canyon & Na Pali Driving Tour. I’m glad to hear that you appreciated the technology and the GPS syncing of the narration, and that you found the historical descriptions of Kauai to be informative! I completely understand your concerns about the tone of the narration. We aim to create an engaging experience, but I can see how the style may not have matched the informative, serious approach you were hoping for. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will definitely take it into account as we work on future updates. We want to strike the right balance between providing informative content and maintaining a tone that fits the nature of the tour. Thank you again for your honesty, and we’re grateful for your suggestion to clarify the tone of the product. If you decide to try our other tours in the future, we hope they better align with your preferences. Should you have any further concerns or thoughts, feel free to reach out—we’re always looking to improve!
