Enjoy the Boston's history, vibrant atmosphere and wonderful architecture on this 2-hr Guided Walking Tour of the Downtown Freedom Trail between Faneuil Hall and Boston Common and then travel on to Copley Square in Back Bay via Beacon Hill. The Downtown Boston portion of the popular Freedom Trail features many of the locations of historical significance to the United States including the Old State House, Old Granary Burial Ground, and the site of the Boston Massacre. We will then see where the Boston aristocracy lives on Beacon Hill on our way to the Boston Public Garden and see the Victorian brownstones in historic Back Bay. See the famous Cheers restaurant, Newbury Street and Commonwealth Avenue on our way to the Boston Marathon Finish Line. Our guide Alan was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. Got much more out of it than just the Freedom Trail! It is difficult to find though...it's just outside of Walgreen's.

Susan, Thanks very much for the kind words, but just want to clarify that we meet at the corner of State and Congress Streets, outside 28 State Street and across from the Old State House (not near or outside any Walgreen's).

Our guide Andrew was phenomenal. He was very courteous and friendly and had detailed exceptional knowledge of the historic events he described along the trail. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in (re)discovering the story of our country’s founding.

Our guide made sure that everyone was close enough to hear him. He had a wealth of knowledge and presented it in such an down to earth manner and with some humor. He took us slightly off the trail to explore some interesting historical spots that we could never find on our own. My only complaint was that it was hard to find him to start the tour. The address given covered a 300 to 400 foot area.
