We had a wonderful day, the captain did an excellent job of ensuring that we saw whales. The narrator did an excellent job describing what we were seeing and the background of each whale. All in all, it was a perfect day, thank you for hiring such a respectful and efficient crew.

First whale watching trip I ever did. Four family members and I did the morning trip, and we were out at sea for about 4.5 hours. I must admit, I was a little bummed for a bit, we hadn’t seen any whales, except one that I had barely seen. That whale was actually a Minke whale, which isn’t very commonly seen on these watches. I know we saw another kind of whale, but I can’t remember what species it was. All the while the speaker talked about all sorts of things. Even if you weren’t seeing whales, you were learning something. After a bit of time though we followed a Finback whale for some dives. I even got to see it blow a few times. I guess there was something wrong with the engine, but the boat still seemed to run accordingly. In any case, the speaker said we would have to go back to shore after the Finback surfaced once more. While on track back to shore, a whole pod of dolphins were nearby, and swam within 10 yards of the boat! We were amazed, and circled near them for a bit. The speaker said that they couldn’t just pass them, dolphins and other sea life were not common, only being seen in 10% of the watches. The dolphins were spectacular to watch, there were dozens of them! By the time we returned, the speaker announced that she and the captain talked, and they decided that they hadn’t lived up to their standards, and would give everyone a voucher for another watch. We scheduled it for the next day. I would have been more than happy without the voucher, I figured that finding dolphins would’ve been enough. But apparently, good isn’t good enough for these people, and I applaud them for that. I can’t promise anyone that they’ll have a mind-blowing watch, but I can tell y’all that the people here, they care, and their standards are high as to what they consider a worthwhile experience.

Overall great time. Brought my mother for her 74th birthday and she had a blast. It was her first whale watch and she definitely wants to go again (which we will). We saw a bunch of whales. The crew was very knowledgeable and informative. The boat itself was nice and the weather was beautiful that day. We had an amazing time!
