Our cocktail tour! From the mill to the still, whiskey has been a cornerstone in Pittsburgh's history. Come downtown for our whiskey tour where you will discover how whiskey has fueled political, labor and social movements throughout the region. Begin and end your tour in style with a Prohibition cocktail at the Ritual House and an Old Fashioned at the Rebel Room. As we walk the streets of Downtown, along iconic architecture, you'll learn about the violent Whiskey Rebellion in Pittsburgh, hidden former (as well as existing!) speakeasies around the city, and how Prohibition affected the region.

**Please note: This is NOT a bar crawl but a whiskey history tour that includes two handcrafted cocktails. This event is 21+ only, no minors please.

John is a great tour guide. Learned a lot about Pittsburgh history and enjoyed a few libations along the way. Great experience!

We enjoyed the history tour, but it was not what we expected. We were under the impression that it would have included more whiskey, not just history tour.

Hi Taylor, firstly we are so glad you chose us to go on a tour with us and also thank you for taking the time to write a review, especially since it alerted us to something we didn't know had happened. Viator rewrote the description of our tour without our knowledge and it is not accurate and we are now working on correcting that. Our real write up is on our website at walktheburgh[dot]com which if you compare the two you will see we are clear with how much whiskey is included on this tour which is two generous samples (tastings) to begin and a hand-crafted cocktail at the end. We are not happy you felt mislead and we would like to offer you a credit towards another walking tour or equivalent experiences and will leave a note under your booking so if you would like to call or email us direct we would be happy to have you give us a second chance! Just give us your name and whomever is here can set you up for another fun experience that matches the description of it!

John was very knowledgeable about the history of Pittsburgh. This is more of a history tour though and not much of a whisky tour. You get 2 half shots in the beginning, then walk around for 2 hours and end up at Rebel room and get half a drink. So, if you are thinking about going and learning the history of Pittsburgh this tour is for you. If you are wanting a whiskey tour, this is not the tour for you.
