We surprised my daughter with a sloth encounter, arriving before the park opened and limiting the number of people to only 4 for the one time day showing. We LOVED the experience and watched as my daughter fed and held the sloth, perhaps one of none other stateside. The utmost concern is for the safety and comfort of the animal and had it not wanted to cooperate with the viewing, it would have been left in it's habitat and the viewing would have been cancelled. Afterward, we walked through the park and observed very clean and spacious pens, with fresh food and toys abound, which help keep the animals busy-promoting mental health. Very impressive and friendly staff are more than willing to answer questions and point out areas of interest. Their avery pen is impressive as well, you enter the pen and the birds will eat out of your hand and come to you for attention. Last but not least is the drive through safari. You must abide by the rules or will be escorted from the facility! This is a very respectful attraction of live animals and reptiles, and is a must do if within the central Florida area.
