My friend and I had planned to visit here in 2022 but unfortunately our visit had to be cancelled due to floods caused by Hurricane Ian, Wild Florida were very quick and responsive to emails and we received a full refund.
We were keen to rearrange our visit and did so for October 2023 and were so glad we did, what a fabulous place! We started our day with an hour long airboat road which was fun and informative, we saw baby alligators and a variety of birds, a great experience.
A short break for a drink from the Chomp House and a wander around the Park, lots of animals and exhibits, all looked very well cared for and happy, then came time for Sloth Encounter! Our small group entered the sloth cage with a lovely keeper who was enthusiastic and friendly and very engaging. We all had time to pet and close up slothies (sloth selfies), we were not rushed and it was a fantastic experience, thoroughly recommended.
A very tasty lunch bought from Chomp House was followed by a further wander around the park and lots of photos of othe beautiful surroundings and animals. Then it was on to our Capybara Encounter!
Wow! This was truly amazing, the keeper was wonderful and the Capybaras so friendly and very up close! There were about 7 of us in the group and we had so much time to interact and feed and pet these wonderful animals, one attempting to sit on my lap. It was such fun and, once again, highly recommended. We were, again, not rushed and spent well over the 15/20 minutes time that was allocated for the encounter.
Huge thanks to everyone at Wild Florida for a fantastic day out and a wonderful experience never to be forgotten00000000000
