We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! There were four of us ranging in age from 93 to 54, and all had a great time! The dogs are much more wild than I imagined, and they love to run. We went on a two-mile run through the woods, and it was absolutely awesome! Staff was extremely knowledgeable and our guide was training for her first Iditarod race. She explained how the dogs each have different jobs to do and have different levels of intelligence. The two closest to the cart pulled the bulk of the weight and were pretty dumb. They kept turning around and looking at us as if to ensure we were still there! We got to meet Hugo who was one of the dogs that played Shasta in Snow Buddies (fun movie!). And following the wild ride, we played with puppies, adorable! Also got a tour of the facilities and the different carts and equipment they use in the race, which was really interesting. I didn't realize that they have room on the cart for four dogs so they can rest or if one is injured.
