Aperçu
This tour is a great way to experience some amazing sights of Alaska, wildlife, glaciers, and a rainforest within a half day. Your guide will pick you up from downtown Anchorage and drive along Turnagain Arm, which boasts abundant scenic views and Alaskan wildlife within easy access to the city of Anchorage. Along the way, you will learn many interesting facts about this area’s history, animals, and ecosystem from your experienced guide.
You will visit the Wildlife Conservation Center, located at the end of Turnagain Arm and surrounded by mountain peaks. You will have the chance to explore on your own and visit the many animals in the center, including brown bears, wolfs, caribou, moose, and the endangered Woodland Bison.
After the Wildlife Center, you will have the opportunity to see the majestic Portage Valley, a few miles drive from the Wildlife Center. Here you will enjoy several amazing viewpoints of glaciers, lakes, rivers, and a unique rainforest.

The tour was fantastic. The scenery was breathtaking. We saw mountains, glaciers and wild animals. We saw the best of Alaska. Our tour guide, Matt, was so incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. He is passionate about Alaska and it showed in all the history he knew about it. He showed us the best spots, stopped for food and bathroom breaks and took the best photos. It was one of the best tours I've ever taken.

Very educating and awesome views! Matt the driver and guide did a really good job at given everybody the history of the areas. He was very knowledgeable I. Wildlife and area!

Awesome! This is my second time on this tour and just as fantastic as the first! I brought four co-workers on this trip and they were amazed at the beautiful scenic views that were just amazing. Had opportunity to take lots of pictures of mountains, glacier’s and wildlife. The tour guide “Matt” was great and very knowledgeable, friendly and gave a lot of unknown information of the area, history and wildlife. Believe me, I will be back again. Every trip is a little different as the views without as much snow this year was a whole new experience!
