A friend recently invited me for a wine and cheese tour in PG county. As a lifelong resident of PG county, I was surprised to learn that there are several vineyards in the area. I paid approximately $100 for the 5 hour tour.
I had no idea how many people were scheduled to join us that afternoon, but I was pleasantly surprised when we were picked up in a Mercedes Sprinter bus/truck. There were a total of 7 tour goers. The host was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the vineyards.
After being picked up from the showplace arena, it took about 25 minutes to arrive at our first stop, the Romano vineyards. I really enjoyed the tasting. Their wine slushees were divine! A very nice above and beyond touch was that our host actually surprised my friend with a birthday cake. I thought this was a super sweet gesture and my friend was totally surprised and elate day:).
Next stop was Robin Hill Farms. We spent about two hours there. This winery was very rustic and comfortable with plenty of indoor seating. We ordered cheese and cracker trays and chatted the afternoon away!
After that, we took a few pics and were on our way back to the drop off spot. What a lovely afternoon. I will definitely patronize this business again!
