Santa Barbara Wine Country Cycling Tours

This is a leisurely guided bike tour through quiet country roads in the Santa Barbara Wine Country. Meet your tour guide at our retail store in the village of Solvang at 10:00 am. You depart shortly after and roll past local apple orchards, cattle ranches and picturesque vineyards. This tour visits a century old school house, an Olive farm to sample local olive oils and a vineyard for wine tasting. Vehicle support available to transport wine & olive oil purchases. Tour continues through a beautiful canyon road back to our store to finish in the early afternoon.

Excursions à vélo dans la région viticole de Santa Barbara

Rencontrez votre guide dans notre magasin de détail du village de Solvang à 10h00. Vous partez peu de temps après et passez devant des vergers de pommiers locaux, des ranchs de bétail et des vignobles pittoresques. Cette visite visite une école centenaire, une ferme oléicole pour déguster des huiles d'olive locales et un vignoble pour une dégustation de vin. Support de véhicule disponible pour transporter les achats de vin et d'huile d'olive. La visite se poursuit par une belle route de canyon jusqu'à notre magasin pour se terminer en début d'après-midi.

Los Olivos

After departing Ballard, we'll head for Los Olivos around 10:30. If time permits, we might take a detour down Figueroa Mountain Road, or another scenic area to get a good feel for the native ecosystems, vineyards, and cattle ranches

After familiarizing yourself with the area and learning a bit about the history, around 11:00 AM we'll stop to sample some locally produced olive oil and infused vinegars

After enjoying that which gives Los Olivos its namesake, we'll head back towards the tour shop, via either rugged canyon road, or well paved bike lane depending on how the group is feeling.

Do NOT book this excursion, it is completely misleading. We biked on a very busy road with cars/trucks in both directions most of the duration. The olive oil tasting place was closed which our tour guide was surprised about and did not offer anything else for us to do. The wine tasting place had a man pouring for us that was missing more teeth than he actually had. The bathroom at this tasting room was a portable out house. This was not first class service and lacked in so many ways. Waste of money.

Hello Sharlene. I'm very sorry you didn't enjoy your bike tour. The olive oil tasting room you indicated had changed their hours unexpectedly on Tuesdays. Los Olivos unfortunately doesn't have any sewer, so most public restrooms are the type of upscale portable restroom like the one at the tasting room. The gentlemen at Coquelicot is also the wine maker and well respected in the area. I can't speak to his teeth, but his wine and craft are excellent. if you would like to discuss this further, please contact me directly.

Mine was amazing!!! He was so kind and friendly. We had great conversation! The tour was so worth it! It’s a lot of manual labor but so worth it when you get to Los Olivos! Mike set up all our visits for us and made sure we got the most out of our tour!! Such a great day!!

Everyone ask for Hans. He is a legend and a super nice guy. Went at the speed we wanted and took us to a lovely Olive pile tasting place highly recommend. The wine tasting was meh, not the tours fault, we went on a Monday and I guess the wine place is slow so had a kid serving who clearly didn’t want to be there and gave no insite to the wine, no info, and really couldn’t be bothered that we were there BUT I’m told that’s not the norm at all. So I would still go again. The bike ride was great, the bikes are easy to use and super light loved all of it would totally do it again :) ASK FOR HANS! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
