White Wolf Sanctuary is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization that was was founded in 1999. Our mission is to preserve and protect wolves, promote the recovery of wolf populations where appropriate and encourage conservation through education of all wildlife and the role it plays in the natural world.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
The weather does vary. We recommend dressing for cool, possibly wet weather. Please wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Our road is not suitable for low profile vehicles such as sports cars. Pets are not allowed on the sanctuary grounds.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful, educational experience at the White Wolf Sanctuary. Our guide was knowledgeable of the wolves and of the challenges wolves face in the country. WWS is a sanctuary for wolves to live out their lives. It is not a rehabilitation center for reintroduction into the wild. The wolves are well cared for. The tour starts with a presentation about their wolves and other types of wolves, their importance to the ecosystem, and how to identify their tracks. Throughout the presentation, our host engaged our children asking and encouraging questions. The wolves are beautiful and you just wish you could pet them (no you can't). They have a sample of fur that was previously shed from the wolves to touch. You are able to see them up close during the walking part of the tour where you get to meet all the wolves they have at the moment.

This place is an absolute gem that you must visit if you are doing a coastal roadtrip! The educational part was great, engaging, and very informative. Seeing the wolves up close was EPIC! They were breathtaking. Please go here, book a visit and support them!

It was a wonderful and insightful experience. We learnt so much about the life of that amazing animal. Excellent and detailed explanations in the debrief. I highly recommend to anybody interested in learning more about wildlife, animal behaviour and ecology.
