This was a great adventure! My son and I did this together and loved it. The shuttle picks you up near the Broadmoor hotel and takes you to the zip line location. The drive up is pretty, but was a bit scary for me since the road is gravel and there aren't any guardrails. Once at the top you will have lessons on how to brake etc. Then it's on to the 5 zip lines. They all have spectacular scenery and the guides were very safety conscious. There is water available at a few of the places and you don't have to climb up high starting towers. I think the highest tower we had to climb was about 15 steps to the top. Once you get to the top of the tower they clip you in so you feel safe and secure. After the last zip you have to walk down a path to where you drop off your gear and pick up any backpacks or bags you brought with you. Now here comes the part that I didn't think was very clear in the website explanation. You are at the top of Seven Falls and the only way down is over 200 stairs. The view is beautiful but the stairs are pretty steep so be aware that you don't get a ride back to the starting point in the van you came up in. BUT, you get admission to the Seven Falls included in this zip line package so that's an added bonus, Once you get down the200+ stairs, you can explore the whole area at your leisure. When you are ready to leave, you walk less than a mile down a road, which by the way is a very pretty walk, and catch a shuttle which brings you back to the Broadmoor hotel. Then it's a short walk back to the parking lot.
Also, before you go down the stairs at Seven Falls, there are two hiking trails at the top. The one to Inspiration Point takes about 40 minutes round trip and the views are gorgeous. I highly recommend this zipline tour! I am afraid of heights, but I'm so glad I did this. I am also retired military and was able to get a discounted price on our tickets.
