I am a huge fan of the adventure show The Amazing Race so when my daughter moved to Denver, my son and I wanted to do something out of the ordinary when we went out to visit. When doing a Google search, what to do in Denver, I came across the Broadmoor Outfitters website.
Having never ziplined before, I chose the Woods tour instead of the Fins but in retrospect, we definitely could have handled that! Scott, Chuck, and Chris did an amazing job of turning some city dwellers into adventurists who felt like they could have handled anything!
The course is intuitively designed so that you begin with the "bunny" zip, providing you the confidence you need to tackle the "real" zips. It worked because an hour later, I found myself putting on the "parking brake" and was suspended 500 feet over a canyon in the middle of the Cheyenne Canyon soaking in the spectacular views. My children didn't know their mom had it in her.
The course ended with a short hike down to 7 Falls (now I can say I went hiking in Colorado too) and walking through waterfalls down to the shuttle bus was just the icing on the cake. All in all, the experience of a lifetime.
