My wife and I were in Colorado Springs visiting some friends. On Friday 4/2 day we decided to visit 7 Falls (breathtaking and beautiful!!) . As we went thru the park we couldn't help but notice the Zip lines criss crossing the park. We kept hearing voices hooting and hollering in the air as they flew thru the air. It looked like so much fun I told my wife I wanted to do it.
We were leaving for home the next day, but were able to book a 10 am "Woods" tour of 5 Zips.
From start to finish, the experience was amazing. I had never been on a zipline and was a bit nervous. From the park looking up, the platforms looks so high and tiny perched on the edge of the canyon walls. The check in people at the Broadmoor were very pleasant and professional. My guides were Carl and Riley. They were very patient, encouraging and fun, They explained everything very well.
You start out with a small practice zip to get you familiar with the process and then the Zips are progressive, from short to long.
Words cannot express the fun and excitement of Zip Lining. The area is so beautiful. Being in the forest and looking down and around as you fly thru the air is something I will never forget. There was still a good bit of ice on the steam, which made the view even more special. Carl and Riley made what I had been nervous about into a fun, and adrenaline filled event. By Zip #5 (our highest and longest) I was comfortable and wished i had been able to book the Combo course of 10 Zips and 2 Suspension Bridges. I cant wait to go back and do the Combo course.
This was Bucket list worthy, Definitely an experience of a lifetime
