If you like to drink and talk history and are traveling alone this is a pleasant tour. Our tour guide was on time, knowledgeable about history, and very professional. I had taken a history tour the day before and she filled in details and story facts that were fun to know. The beers available were really good. The taverns are historic sites, most taverns themselves are long gone. Drinking on historically sacred grounds and the stories behind the tavern history was worth the afternoon. (Another day I went to Cheers. And had another good craft beer and great clam chowder.... such a tourist)

Had a great experience on the Ye Olde Tavern Tour with our guide Brian. He had a wealth of historical knowledge that he coupled with fantastic personality and good humor. I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves to learn the history of the American Revolution and have a few drinks along the way. The tour stops at three taverns, and the drinks at these taverns are included in the price of the tickets. There is about a mile of walking, but doesn’t seem that daunting when punctuated with the stops at the bars. The tour does a good job of reviewing the history of 1765-75 in short bursts, while following the Freedom Trail. 10/10 would do on our next trip to Boston.
