In the short periods when the tour guide was able to stop talking about himself, his mother, his car or his kidney stones his comments about Hollywood and the people who live there was extremely negative either as criticism of those that were homeless and used drugs or resentment of the very wealthy which put a dampener on the whole tour. To add to that he seemed to take great pleasure in pointing out where and how so many celebrities had either taken their own lives or been killed. All in all it was a very depressing and dull tour. In our view it was not good value for money.

I respectfully disagree with the points you make here. With the sometimes heavy Los Angeles traffic, especially Friday afternoons I, while showing each and every point of interest, like to converse with my guests. I do, indeed, draw a contrast between the cities of Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Hollywood itself. I believe I’m providing knowledge as well as the pleasure of sightseeing and, unlike some of the open-top tour operators, am 100% honest. (I don’t make anything up). Now to your comments, Sir. We stopped at the home where Michael Jackson died. That’s a popular tourist attraction and I do not take any pleasure from Jackson’s 2009 death nor, for that matter, do I anyone else’s. When pointing out Cedars Sinai Medical Center, I may on occasion mention kidney stones and in doing so am able to tell people to drink lots of water, thus hopefully enabling some folks to avoid this painful experience. You believe I resent the homeless? Not when they come to my house but otherwise, they are the most unfortunate people there are. But when you see a row of tents on the street, hard to say they’re a group of European tourists. I include, as you say, “drugs” with the homelessness. This is because fentanyl is a major cause of their situation. (I tend not to bring the issue up with families with children). Anyway, I say what has occurred over the last ten, fifty, hundred years in Hollywood as well as Beverly Hills. I do my research, as well as furnishing good locations to take pictures. I’m here also to provide my knowledge of Hollywood and Beverly Hills and all its history and, regrettably, not all of it is pleasant. You add I also dislike the wealthy. I have nothing but respect for those that have, by either mind or body, made it to the top. No idea where this and your other criticisms come from. Mentioning my mother is also uttered in your review. My Dad passed away three weeks ago and I’m still grieving. But I certainly did not bring my father up. Anyway, would’ve thought two gentlemen could converse a little in traffic or in the sometimes long gaps between the sights. After revealing your displeasure of the tour so far, I tried to make up for it by taking you high up into the hills of Bel Air and Beverly Hills. I went overtime and was happy to do so. Still, silence. After picking you up you had barely said a word, from Beverly Hills to the heart of Hollywood. That is perfectly fine. But attacking me for what I believe to be good, healthy and honest conversation is not so righteous. Anyway, I value all of my guests and only want them to have a wonderful experience. I’m very sorry I wasn’t able to provide that for you.
